Me - JR manske
I have a passion for craftsmanship that I hope to share with you through thoughtful lumber preparation and custom woodworking projects. With 15+ years of experience in carpentry and tooling, I have the skills to help you manage your woodworking needs.
Vacuum kiln
I utilize a new iDRY 2.0 vacuum kiln that can dry up to 2000 board feet of lumber at a time. Vacuum kilns provide many advantages compared to traditional kilns. By utilizing a vacuum, the boiling point of the water is lowered, enabling a lower heat to be applied to the lumber to achieve the same level of dryness - by eliminating the high temperatures, stress, checking and cracking is significantly reduced or eliminated - and thicker lumber can be accommodated.
The sawmill
The mill is the Wood-Mizer LT40 hydraulic portable sawmill. It has the capacity to saw 36” diameter logs with a length of up to 21’. I work with a variety of wood sources, from downed timber to sentimental trees, I can accommodate your cutting needs.
